Installing a 12 Volt Electrical System into a Self-Build Campervan

Okay, you might have read the book we sell at Bits4Campervans titled "Campervan Conversion Guide to 12 Volt Electrics" (or perhaps you haven't - in which case shame on you) and this post is intended to direct you to some helpful video guides to help you along the way. Here at Bits4Campervans  our ideology is to do things on the cheap. We don't get involved in complicated jargon and the whole concept is to design a self-build/DIY, festival campervan that will supply campers with their basic needs for a few days. So, if you've read  "Campervan Conversion Guide to 12 Volt Electrics" (or even if you haven't) you are welcome to view this helpful video that explains two ways to wire up your DIY camper electrics. It's basic, has no complicated words or jargon and comes with no bells or whistles. You can view our video guide to 12 volt campervan electrics here.

Happy campervanning and don't forget our great range of VW camper gifts and presents for campervan lovers!

Greater London ULEZ

Okay, so Dictator Khan (oops... sorry Mayor Khan) has announced that the ULEZ zone will be extended to Greater London. You can probably tell from the first line of this post that I don't agree with his decision. Obviously clean air is good, but in a time of economic crisis is forcing people to upgrade their vehicles (or pay £12.50 every day) a sensible decision? Not only has it pushed the prices of ULEZ compatible vehicles shy high, it also means that, for us campervan owners who live in the affected zones, we're now going to have to think twice whether it's worth keeping an older vehicle. Some people use their campers as daily transport and, for them, it will be especially hard.

Sorry, Mr Khan you have got this wrong and, it would seem, wasted a heap load of taxpayers money on a consultation that you have have totally ignored. It's also undemocratic.
